Townies Taverna in Palm City has been open since January first and they have brought a world class menu and inviting atmosphere to our area. The menu is extensive, creative, and original. Today I opted for BBQ and was blown away. This is the real deal low and slow BBQ. They use a combination of oak and hickory that creates that classic smoke flavor that so many of us have come to love. They also smoke pork, ribs, brisket, and house cured pastrami. If bbq isn't your thing there are still plenty of other options. They have steaks, chops, salmon, sandwiches, flat breads, and so much more. They also have a full bar, a decent wine list, and craft and locally brewed beers. If you haven't been yet put them on the must go list, as always.... Tell them the Dining Guide sent you!

TideHouse is all about waterfront living in Florida. Set on the second floor, overlooking the Harborage Marina and Yacht Club, TideHouse harnesses the beauty of the wide expanse views of the St. Lucie River. Facing southeast, the views span from the quaint village of Rio to the east all the way to the iconic Roosevelt Bridge to the west.

They also have a great Daily Happy Hour from 3 pm to 6 pm featuring half price appetizers and drinks. Om a recent visit we opted for a couple of their menu options, and were not disappointed. The Lobster Poutine was my favorite. Big chunks of lobster tail meat in a rich lobster cream served over thin cut fries!

At Think Greek in Port St Lucie. A great spot for a quick bite with all of your Greek favorites. The gyro was seasoned perfectly and hit the spot. They put fries in the gyro just like the gyros in Greece. Come check it out. As always, tell them the Dining Guide sent you.

The Taco Shack in Stuart is under new management. So I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. They have many traditional style tacos, but also some very interesting originals. I had the oyster po' boy taco. Fried oysters with relish, tartar and lettuce. The oysters were super fresh it was very tasty. I also had the carne asada taco it was flavorful and on point. Enjoying a lovely Spanish influenced sandwich. With Spanish cured meats and monchego cheese on a baguette. At Port Barna in the mall. They feature tapas and Mediterranean cuisine in a modern setting.
