The most badass thing I ever did was get sober, take accountability, and become willing to change my life. But the real gift? Reaching back to help the next person. I’m grateful that when I was ready, someone was there to grab my hand and show me the way. Now, it’s my purpose to do the same. If you’re struggling, don’t wait—reach out. You’re not alone.”

If you’re still out there fighting, still struggling, I’m begging you—please get help before it’s too late. I know what it’s like to be trapped in that darkness, thinking you’ve got more time or that you’ll figure it out tomorrow. But the truth is, we’re all on borrowed time, and waking up each morning is a gift not everyone gets.

I’ve been where you are, feeling like I could push it just a little longer. But every time we roll those dice, we’re risking everything. I’m lucky to be here, and so are you. But that luck won’t hold out forever. I’ve lost too many friends who thought they had more time. We don’t get to choose when our last day is.

Today, on Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those we’ve lost, the ones who didn’t get that extra chance. The best way we can honor them is by living for them. There’s a way out, and it starts with reaching out. It starts with admitting that you can’t do this alone—and that’s okay. None of us can. There are people who want to help, who’ve been where you are, and who will walk with you through this.

Please, don’t wait until it’s too late. Don’t let another day slip by, thinking tomorrow will be different. Tomorrow isn’t promised, but today—right now—you have a chance to take that first step. Reach out, ask for help, and give yourself the chance to live the life you deserve. You’re not alone in this. We’re in it together, and we can get through it together. 🤝

If you need someone to talk to, I’m here. Don’t wait. There is a way out and Recovery Is Possible for everyone. Together We Can End Overdose. 🤝💜🙏

If you're in early sobriety and struggling, I want you to know that what you're going through is part of the process and completely normal. The journey isn't always easy, but it's definitely worth it. Remember the only way to get to the other side is to go through it. It might sound cliché, but don’t quit before the miracle happens – because it will happen. We often don’t talk enough about the challenges, but they’re part of the process. Stick around, reach out to others in recovery (We Recover Together), and know that it 100% gets better. Sobriety is the best decision I ever made for myself, and it’s so worth it. Keep going, you've got this! 💪💜

For so long I would always say today is my last day, tomorrow I’m going to get help. It would never happen though, not until there was some kind of major catalyst like getting arrested, overdosing, etc. If you’re struggling, the best time to reach out is right now. I always hear people say they wish they would’ve gotten help and sober sooner, but I’ve never heard one person say they regret getting sober too soon.

If you’re struggling with addiction and/or mental health, Please reach out anytime by messaging this page. You’re not alone and don’t have to do this alone. We Recover Together 🤝

“My name is Tracy. I'm 32 years old and I'm a recovering h3roin addict. I've been clean since Dec 24, 2013.

I was born and raised a small town Indiana girl. The daughter of a factory worker and a church secretary, I was the first in my family to ever try drugs.

I've always been a sensitive person. A 'potflower' my grandma called me. Because of that, I took the middle school mean girls to heart and developed a struggle with self-esteem and feeling like I didn't belong from an early age.

In high school I found w**d and alcohol and didn't have to care if I belonged. My addiction progressed over the years and by my late teens, I'd found my new favorite... h3roin.

It didn't take long for that addiction to progress. Over the next 5 years, I was arrested 7+ times, cars repoed, fired from jobs, sent to prison for burglary and estranged from everyone I loved.

I was released from Indiana Women’s Prison into a halfway house in 2014. It was there that I became pregnant with my 1st child. I bonded with my baby. It was time for me to grow up. I enrolled in school, got a job as a waitress and began rebuilding a life for us.

8 years later, I'm still building… but I'm not a truck stop waitress anymore, I'm a therapist and recovery coach.

Building an amazing life and staying focused on my purpose has kept me clean. My goal now is to help others realize that not only can you recover, but you can also find a level of success and happiness you never dreamed possible.”
