Our amazing 2nd graders wrapped up their Ancient Greece unit by diving head‑first into the magic of mythology! Complete with heroic costumes, myth-inspired food, epic presentations, and all the excitement of Olympus! 🏛️✨ From Zeus and Athena roaming the halls to ambrosia-worthy treats, our students turned learning into a full-on myth-making celebration.

We are excited to celebrate and honor the brave men and women who have served our country during our Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

🦉 Exciting Day in Mrs. Hill’s Science Class!
Today, students had a hands-on learning experience dissecting owl pellets! They carefully examined and identified bones, fur, and other remains to learn more about owl diets, their digestive systems, and analyzing internal structures. Everyone was amazed by what they discovered — science sure gets interesting when you dig in!

🎉 WILMORE ELEMENTARY BOOSTERTHON: FINAL DAYS! 🎉
Let’s Finish Strong, Wilmore!

We are so excited to celebrate the incredible fundraising efforts from our annual Boosterthon fundraiser in partnership with the PTO! Thank you for helping us spread the word, gather donations, and support our amazing Wilmore Elementary community. Your enthusiasm and generosity make such a difference for our students!

We’d love for you to join us to cheer on your students during the Fun Run on Thursday, October 30th (weather permitting). The event will be held outside in the bus loop, and families are invited to line up along the sidewalk to encourage runners during their specials block at the times below:

5th Grade: 8:15 AM

4th Grade: 9:10 AM

3rd Grade: 10:05 AM

2nd Grade: 11:50 AM

Kindergarten: 12:45 PM

1st Grade: 1:45 PM

If weather conditions don’t allow us to host the Fun Run outside, we will move the event into the gym, and unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate guests due to limited space. We will make that determination on Thursday morning and share an update via ParentSquare, so please watch for that announcement.

🏫 VISITOR CHECK-IN REQUIRED:
For the safety of all students, all visitors must check in at the front office upon arrival and wear a visitor badge while on campus. Thank you for helping us keep our Bear Cubs safe!

Wilmore Elementary is looking for a friendly, organized, and dedicated School Secretary to be the hub of our school! This key role helps keep our school running smoothly while supporting staff, students, and families every day.

Responsibilities Include:

Managing bus communications and transportation changes

Maintaining attendance in Infinite Campus and communicating with families

Welcoming visitors and monitoring school safety

Helping the principal and staff manage the many moving parts of school day

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Is organized and detail-oriented

Enjoys working with students, staff, and families

Can multitask in a fast-paced environment

Has a positive attitude and loves being part of a school family

✅ Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (with lunch)
✅ Pay: Based on experience and degree (see district salary schedule)
