Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam Names Interim Chief James Rovella as Permanent Hartford Chief of Police
Praises Rovella’s ‘Steady Hand’ and Leadership Over the Last Five Months

HARTFORD, CT – Today, Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam announced plans to appoint Interim Chief James Rovella to serve as permanent Chief of Police for the Hartford Police Department. In making the appointment, Arulampalam said Chief Rovella will carry forward valued city initiatives, including a model of community policing and violence prevention centered around data-driven approaches to combat crime and keep neighborhoods safe.

"Over the past five months, Interim Chief James Rovella has demonstrated the steady hand and trustworthy leadership our city needs during this critical time for public safety,” said Mayor Arulampalam. “Chief Rovella’s deep roots in Hartford, combined with his extensive experience and commitment to our community-first policing model and data-driven violence prevention strategies make him extremely qualified to lead the Hartford Police Department, and to help us build a safer, stronger Hartford for all our residents."

The Town of Plymouth, CT (Town) is seeking an Architectural and Engineering Consultant firm/company to professionally provide DESIGN, COST ESTIMATES, PLANNING SCHEDULES, CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS, DRAWINGS DOCUMENTS, PROJECT MANUAL & SPECIFICATIONS and CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION, FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF PLYMOUTH COMMUNITY INVESTMENT DOWNTOWN TRANSFORMATIONAL PLAN, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13.
This Plan is funded by the CT Dept. of Economic and Community Development Community Investment Fund and the Town.
Successful consultant must have at least three (3) years of professional architectural and engineering project experience in Responses to the RFQ requirements. Must include AIA/PE Resumes and related qualification documents delineating your experience. Must have submit copies of current valid CT license for Architect and Engineering, credentials. Must satisfactorily pass a background check. Final contract/agreement will be negotiated after selection is made. All interested bidders must attend CIF Pre-submission Meeting which will be held on January 8th, 2025 at 3:30 in the Plymouth Town Hall Community Room. A link will be provided to allow attendance virtually. Attendance is mandatory. No exceptions.
