I'm grateful to see justice for R Kelly's victims. However his celebrity status has bought a lot of attention to the case. There are traffickers in every socioeconomic class in the United States. They exist in every neighborhood. The covid pandemic has caused an increase in isolation circumstances and living conditions which has further enabled traffickers. Many times victims go for yrs being unknowingly photographed and videotaped by traffickers who then sell there images to pornagraphy rings and over the internet . Sadly the victim is intouch on a deep level that they have been and are being exploited, though they can't explain why their self esteem is plummeting. Nor would they suspect enough to look for proof. They simply keep getting approached and find themselves enclosed in a non stop of encounters with perverts who have bought secretly recorded n**e pictures and videos of them. The victim feels dirty and naturally blames themselves for attracting unwanted s*xually exploitive and harrassing attention. They are clueless that they have been marketed. Eventually they find themselves in a life of prostitution and can't understand why... and of course then introduced to addictive substances by a ", boyfriend "/ trafficker who helps them support an increasing habit by introducing them to men who pay for s*x. The boyfriend is usually the dealer and the trafficker. And to realize how organized trafficking works you must understand that boyfriend's who lure in girls to pimp them are often poor or in financial straits so they are sponsored by wealthy men who wish to perpetuate a venue of s*x for sale. The sponsors are men in power positions like attorneys, dr.s, politicians, big buisness owners.They are the ones who enable the entire trafficking dynamic with never being connected or associated with the abuse.For us to make a difference we must stop marginalizing the victims as pr******tes and addicts and criminals. We must embrace them with unconditional love and respect and disgaurd our own brainwashed tendencies to judge them as problems. They are not the problem but the humanity so abrasively and brutally wounded and damaged by the problem which is those orchestrating the human trafficking trade.

I haven't posted anything in a while. Human trafficking is a crime against humanity that has hrown exponentially during the isolation of the pandemic. One particular dynamic insidiously unique to the persuasive grooming of a victim is what is referred to as " the boyfriend " problem. To describe this type of exploitaion i will describe the most common set up.A naive young teen or young adult falls for a charming ,seemingly ambitious, good looking, doting male who maybe her age or older.This male seeems to be very taken with the vic, at first showering her w/"attention, gifts, understanding her circumstances, sympathethetic, the rescuer...he exposes her to her first drug euphoric experience, surrounds her with s*xually permiscuous friends , desensitizing her to witnessing po*******hy both live and film. He continues to impress and win her confidence. The exploitation often begins with him taking n**e photos. She doesn't realize he uses these photos to sell , and to advertize her. Once she has had all her boundaries violated, her values get repriortized. Then suddenly he, the boyfriend, needs her to rescue him , financially ( often to support his vices of drugs, gambling, and or po*******hy) This is when he wears her down, belittles her, after he has isolared her from all her friends and family. He will then with,cor without her consent ( consent is not valid if the victem has been emotionally groomed) to pimp her ...money for s*x. He will seal her bo***ge to him usually witc the fostering of a drug addiction.

Today i shared my story, my testimony of how God rescued me from Human Trafficking. My prayer is that my victory was heard by someone still enslaved to this criminal industry, and they are encouraged to not give up. A minister who was listening to my information on how traffickers operate and how victims are hidden in plain sight, recalled speaking to a young person who was reaching out for help. The minister was suspicious that something was going on because an older person showed up and stopped the communication. Traffickers isolate their victims. They deny access to phones ,computers and often keep them in key-in, key-out rooms or houses. The minister said that she believed the young man was being exploited by an older person who was trafficking victims and drugs. Human trafficking rings sell their victims from one trafficking ring to the next and deal in illegal drugs, weapons, stolen cars, computers, and s*x trafficking. If you see something report it as the minister did.You can save a life.
It is also important that victims and survivors are not judged, criminalized, demonized or marginalized during or after their exploitation. They are human beings being dehumanized, brutalized, and exploited all day and night long every single day and night. If you are an advocate or a family member encourage them and recognize when someone degrades and shames them because they were exploited s*xually and remind the victim that they are worthy of love and respect and kindness.

Human trafficking has been rampant in American history always. Sometimes it is blatantly obvious. Other times it is sugar coated as modeling agencies so as to deflect scrutiny from the traffickers true agenda. Victims of human trafficking can be from any culture, country, socioeconomic background. Modeling agencies that are most likely cover ups to lure young people into s*x trafficking often have no success stories...noone who has landed a modeling contract from a designer or clothing manufacturer and no situations where an individual has become rich and famous as a cover girl or high fashion model. Google T- modeling agency as an example for human trafficking disguised as a modeling agency.

Human trafficking is an industry that exploits humanity as a commodity. The buyers and sellers regard each precious life, each devinely created soul, as an appliance to use disgracefully, perversely and destructively to feed a pathalogical appetite that withers and traumatizes the victim. Those victims ,those oppressed individuals are God's beloved and we are here to defend them and acknowledge their humanity and validate their worthiness. To co- sign the placeing of people in power who perpetuate the underlying cause of suffering at the hands of human trafficking makes you culpable . Do not support leadership that has the flawed character of depreciating the humanity of women. You are either sister and brothers keeper, or you side with power and money.

Human trafficking has no gender,race,age boundaries. With so much going on to stop systemic racism we see the residual backlash when those in bo***ge are set free. The same is true when victims of human trafficking finally break free. They are constantly faced with bureaucracy that keeps them stigmatized and marginalized from becoming productive and pursue education and career opportunities. The good news that the laws are changing and the victims are no longer considered criminals, the traffickers are. If you are a survivor please have hope and reach out for support. Your story is just beginning its victory march.

Isolation during quarantine is not curtailing the trafficking of human beings. It is however magnifying the despair of being an invisible victim. Remain vigilant of your neighborhood. If you see something that looks like child exploitation or human trafficking report it. If you are a victim of human trafficking, know that there are advocates in your corner who are ready to act on your behalf. Do not loose hope.
