On November 8, 2025, Wigmore Hall will host a Rebecca Clarke Focus Day, celebrating the composer with multiple concerts, lectures, and recitals throughout the day. Events include talks by music historians Leah Broad and Natasha Loges, performances by artists like Max Baillie, Ailish Tynan, and Ashley Riches, with pianists Anna Tilbrook and Nicholas Phan performing many of Clarke's songs.
What: A "Rebecca Clarke Focus Day" with multiple concerts and talks.
Who: Key performers include Max Baillie, Ailish Tynan, Ashley Riches, Anna Tilbrook, and Nicholas Phan.
Special guests: Music historians Leah Broad and Natasha Loges, and Rebecca Clarke's great-nephew Christopher Johnson will also be present.
Why: To celebrate the 100th anniversary of a major recital Clarke gave at the hall and to highlight her work, coinciding with the release of a new recording of her complete songs.
Schedule:
11:00 AM: "An Introduction to Rebecca Clarke".
2:00 PM: A concert featuring Anna Tilbrook.
7:30 PM: A final concert, "Rebecca Clarke Day Concert IV," celebrating the centennial of Clarke's 1925 recital.
