FOX Orlando interviewed our Michael Haggard following the death of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who was found unresponsive after riding Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe. The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was “multiple blunt impact injuries” and ruled it an accident.

Haggard noted that Florida’s largest theme parks are exempt from state safety inspections, raising serious concerns about transparency and oversight.

The Haggard Law Firm represented the mother of Tyre Sampson, the 14-year-old who died on the Orlando FreeFall in 2022—securing settlements with some defendants and a verdict against the ride manufacturer. That case ultimately led to the removal of the ride.

Tragedy at Universal’s new Epic Universe theme park has once again raised urgent questions about theme park safety.

FOX Orlando spoke with our Kim Wald following the death of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who was found unresponsive after riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster earlier this week. The Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death as “multiple blunt impact injuries,” calling it an accident.

As Kim explains in the interview, families deserve accountability and transparency when a life is lost at a theme park attraction—especially at Florida’s largest parks, which are not subject to state safety inspections.

⚖Family Seeks Justice After Tragic Mall Shooting⚖

The Haggard Law Firm has filed a negligent security wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the family of David Nathaniel Barron. The father of five was fatally shot at Paddock Mall in Ocala in December of 2023. The lawsuit names the mall owners and the security company at the time of the shooting, among others.
