Those arrested included three Black Panthers prior to the vigil and several local activists who displayed a " " banner from a pedestrian overpass after the vigil ended.
Tomorrow's Justice for Tashii Brown / 1st Year Mother's Day Vigil on the Las Vegas Strip marks one year since was murdered by LVMPD Officer Kenneth Lopera on Mother's Day 2017.
One year ago, early on the morning of Mother’s Day 2017, Tashii Brown sought help from two officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department inside the The Venetian Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip. Instead of receiving that help, after he explained that he thought someone was chasing him those officers began treating him as a criminal rather than someone in need of medical help for a mental health issue.
Soon after, Brown would be chased, tasered, beaten, and choked to death by LVMPD Officer Kenneth Lopera.

Several victims' family members attended May Day in Las Vegas this year and spoke of how police violence has affected them and others connected to the people police murder.
Several family members of victims of police violence were present during the 12th Annual Las Vegas May Day / Primero de Mayo Marcha on Tuesday.
One of those who attended May Day in Las Vegas was Jorge Luis Martinez, the step-father of Junior Lopez, the latest victim of the LVMPD. In addition Dominic Archibald spoke about her son Nathanial Pickett, who was shot by San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Deputy Kyle Woods in spite of being unarmed and not having committed or even being suspected of any crime in 2015.
Nissa Tzun, of the Forced Trajectory Project and Families United 4 Justice, spoke also, addressing the impact that police violence has on the families of those murdered by the police. She also formally announced the Justice for Tashii Brown / 1st Year Mother's Day Vigil, which will take place on the Las Vegas Strip. Trinita Farmer, the mother of Tashii Farmer-Brown, has called for this vigil to commemorate the one year observance of his murder by Officer Kenneth Lopera of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department .

Family of the 22-year-old said he suffered from Schizophrenia. When officers approached, Trammell didn’t reply. Officers then tased him more than a dozen times before placing him in handcuffs."

" Prince George's County Police Department Officer Charles Keith Williams Jr. approached officers who had a man and a woman in custody.
Police say Williams walked through several officers and showed his police badge as they ordered him to step away. When an officer told him they were in the middle of an investigation, he still refused to follow orders to go away and continued to walk around in the area, waving his arms, police say."
First Amendment auditor Pink Camera Magic has recovered the footage Don Milozzi of the Cook County Sheriff's Office (Official) deleted after he assaulted and falsely arrested her last month for legally filming a Cook County Criminal Courthouse.
Last month, a First Amendment auditor known as "Pink Camera Magic" was legally filming the Bridgeview Court House (the official page is here: Cook County Criminal Courthouse). She was subsequently assaulted, falsely arrested, and had her camera footage deleted by Don Milazzo of the Cook County Sheriff's Office (Official).
However, since then she has managed to recover that deleted footage and you can now watch it to see the outrageousness with your own eyes.

Via Submission: Locally many people believe that former LVMPD Officer Ronnie Mortensen was framed for murder by his partner, Chris Brady after a drive by shooting they were involved in during the late 90's. A Nevada Cop Block reader, who is related to Mortensen, describes how she has been harassed and assaulted (resulting in a broken neck) as retaliation for advocating for the exoneration of Mortensen and against other acts of corruption by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
After the video of a violent traffic stop in 2014 went viral, the North Brunswick Police Department posted an edited version of a CBS New York report about it to their YouTube channel in an attempt to bolster their claim of it being a legitimate assault and search against the subject of that stop.
(Then began deleting Facebook comments exposing their deception.)
A viral video of a 2014 traffic stop showed North Brunswick Police Department officers breaking out the windows of a man's car and forcibly pulling him from it. That was based on one of the officers stating he "smelled w**d" in the car. However, as in many such instances where that claim has been made to justify searching someone, no ma*****na was actually found or drug charges filed.
Later, the NBPD posted a news report about the stop to their YouTube channel, except they decided to edit out the part about no pot being found. Then once that editing was pointed out in comments on their official page, they violated The First Amendment by deleting them.

In CopBlock Network Co-founder Pete Eyre's latest post, he discusses the LVMPD's failure to respond to a public records request from local news affiliate FOX5 Las Vegas, as is required by law.
That FOIA request pertains to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's efforts to stop "What Happened In Vegas" by Ramsey Denison from showing in Las Vegas theaters. Specifically, allegations that they intimidated the Eclipse Theaters into cancelling a planned release of the film, as well as a second documentary critical of the LVMPD, "A Nightmare in Las Vegas"
A witness now says the off-duty LVMPD officer was drinking when he killed a dog that had not even visibly injured a neighbor's dog.
"A witness said she believes the LVMPD officer, 'Matt,' was drinking, but was not tested by his colleagues when they arrived to 'investigate.'"
