In honor of Juneteenth, the Galveston County Museum has unveiled a powerful piece of history — a rare 1919 World War I propaganda poster that visually connects the Emancipation Proclamation to the strength and sacrifice of African American soldiers during WWI.

This historic artifact is now the centerpiece of the museum’s latest Unboxing History podcast, featuring Galveston historian Samuel Collins III. 🇺🇸
