As the owner of a small business, I learned a long time ago to keep my personal political beliefs and views off social media. I believe that everyone in our Country should be able to believe what they believe, whether it be political, religious or most anything else as long as they are law abiding citizens. I don't try to stuff my beliefs down anyones throats and I believe you shouldn't either. Just believe what you believe and vote for who you believe in and leave it at that.
Take your beliefs to the polls.
I feel such an overwhelming sense of sadness today. Its almost unbearable. I feel grief for Charlie Kirks family. Can you even imagine what it felt like to open your eyes this morning and realize that this was not a horrible nightmare, the overwhelming grief that sets in knowing some stranger that you have most likely never met, never heard of, took away your son, or your husband, the father of your children, just because they did not like his beliefs.
I literally feel tears welling up because no matter where you are on social media, there are so many people using laughing emojis or commenting in a way that makes you realize just how ugly some people are. Its not just heartbreaking, its scary.
Social media has dehumanized people. I was raised mostly by my grandparents. They were the best humans I have ever known and will ever know. Because of that, I truly did not realize that there was so much ugliness out there. Maybe because I chose not to see it. Its hard to face that truth. When you do face it, its too sad to bear.
I pray that Charlie Kirk did not lose his life in vain. I pray for Charlies family.
