FYI: Beginning Monday, a portion of Route 436 in the town of Ossian will be closed for about two weeks for a culvert replacement. Detours will be posted to guide motorists around the affected area between Shaw and Shute Roads.

Following a report of an alleged family dispute in the town of Portage, Livingston County Sheriff's Office deputies charged Zachary Kennedy, 30, with assault and resisting arrest. The LCSO reports Kennedy failed to obey the deputes' commands, obstructing the investigation. In the process, they say a deputy injured his knee.

PORTAGE - A Portage man is facing an assault charge following an investigation into a report of a family trouble, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office said.
