I suppose it was inevitable, I have to go back to work at the school today. I miss the students and the challenges they present while we support them in their learning journey through high school. My mind is always on the farm though, and I look forward to the upcoming season and all the good things we do as a family there.

It's tallow time! When it's cold and there's nothing to do outside, I like to pull out the fat we kept back from butchering a cow and render its fat into tallow. We will use it for cooking and maybe a few special products like candles, soap or skin creams.
