Extell Medical Tower Replaces Row of Homes in New York, New York

Extell Development Company has plans for a 31-story Class A medical tower slated for New York, New York. The announcement comes two years after the demolition of various four-story multi-family homes on the Upper East Side, according to Patch. Construction’s expected to start on the $500 million tower before the first quarter of 2022 ends.

HSS alone will comprise more than 200,000 square feet of new construction. Extell Medical Tower itself measures more than 400,000 square feet of new construction. Completion’s slated for 2025.

Originally, Extell Development Company had plans to demolish a block of homes and replace it with a school. Now, plans include a 31-story medical center.

Metro Edgewater, a 32-Story Superstructure, Unfolds in Miami

Metro Edgewater is a 32-story “superstructure” unfolding in Miami-Dade County, FL. The $65 million project, owned by Metro Edgewater LLC, is presently in its permitting stage. The building requires over 470,000 square feet of new construction and, upon completion, will provide 279 housing units.

The "Next Miami" reports that the units are geared toward young professionals living in the area. Per Metro Edgewater’s website, homes range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans. They range from 696 square feet to 1,241 square feet each. Pricing options aren’t publicly available, but interested parties can fill an inquiry form online.

Metro Edgewater, a 32-Story Superstructure, includes 4,230 square feet of retail and 300 parking spots. Because of its location, it’s a short walk away from Biscayne Boulevard, one of Miami’s hot spots. Metro Edgewater features a pool and fitness center. Units come outfitted with terraces, powde rooms, and new appliances.

Manson Place Offers Affordable Housing to "Parent Scholars" in Houston

Manson Place is expected to start construction in June 2022, offering housing to “Parent Scholars”––or single parents pursuing educational opportunities.

The housing development, located in Houston, Texas, will offer 80 housing units, ranging from two-bedroom to three-bedroom options. Many of the rooms are ADA compliant, making them accessible to those with disabilities.

Developers will offer “Project Vouchers” that make the housing units affordable. The goal is to help single parents reach their educational goals while also promoting self-sufficiency.

Manson Place has one goal: to provide affordable housing to Parent Scholars-–or single parents looking to pursue their education. Plans include 80 units.

Pier 202 Unfolding in Maricopa County, AZ

Right now, if you type in “1190 Vista Del Lago Drive, Tempe, Arizona,” you’ll see one of Maricopa County’s most ambitious projects. Pier 202 is a $1.8 billion mixed-use venture that offers residential, commercial, and retail space. It’s owned by South Pier Tempe Holdings LLC, which is also the project’s developer.

The project will reach completion in seven phases, requiring 15 years to completion. Our records show the 12.43-acre build site requires more than 1 million square feet of new construction.

Pier 202 will take 15 years to complete––and for good reason. The billion-dollar venture will include retail, commercial, and residential space.

Royal Caribbean Continues Construction on Headquarters in Miami, FL

Royal Caribbean had big plans in 2019. The company intended on completing its new headquarters within two years of breaking ground, which would offer 10 stories and over 350,000 square feet of office space. Then, Covid-19 happened, and along with the rest of the cruise industry, Royal Caribbean’s plans came to a grinding halt.

Now, nearly three years after the project first started, construction is continuing on the venture in Miami-Dade County, FL. The $300 million project will include a 1,820-spot parking garage, as well as renovating some already-existing projects on the build site.

After almost three years of beginning construction, Royal Caribbean is continuing with its new headquarters in Miami, FL. Plans include a 10-story building.

State-of-the-Art Agricultural Facility Coming to Windsor, Colorado

Gotham Greens Holdings LLC is a New York-based organization that brings sustainable farming to urban areas. It has a pretty decent claim to fame. It says that it grows impressively-sized produce using 95 percent less water and 97 percent less land than its competitors. Now, it has plans for a greenhouse in Windsor, Colorado.

The $15 million project will provide 125,000 square feet of new construction. Biz West notes that although ma*****na was legalized in Colorado in 2012, this location will not focus on that.

Big things are underway for Windsor, Colorado. Gotham Greens LLC hopes to build greenhouses that focus on leafy greens.

Gulch Apartments to Provide Over 400 Units in Nashville, TN

Gulch Apartments is an exciting mixed-use venture headed for Nashville, Tennessee. The Nashville Business Journal notes that plans include two high-rise buildings. One tower measures 16 stories, and the other tower measures 20 stories. The project costs an estimated $200 million to complete. Construction will finish in late 2023, and Clark Construction Group, LLC is the general contractor.

The 20-story building will offer over 400 units, ranging from studios to multi-bedroom layout plans. It includes an amenity deck that features a pool, tiki bar, and rooftop lounge. A historic 10-story tower is already present at the build site, and it requires an additional 10 stories to reach its height goal.

Gulch Apartments is unfolding in Nashville, TN. The mixed-use venture will include both residential and retail space. Completion's slated for late 2023.
