Announcing the 2025 Sylacauga Christmas Parade Grand Marshal: The 2025 Sylacauga High School Aggies Mens Basketball team!

The SHS Mens Basketball team was the runner-up to the Alabama Class 5A Championship in March of this year. The 2024-2025 season was Head Coach Joel Jones' first year of coaching, where he and Assistant Coach Skylar Patterson led the Aggies in a 31-4 season.

In the final, played at the BJCC Legacy Arena in Birmingham, the Aggies fell to Vigor Wolves 59–49. Despite the loss, the run to Finals reflects a season of consistent excellence. Coach Joel Jones led the team to its first state championship appearance since 2018 — a significant milestone for the program. Their achievement brought positive attention to Sylacauga and showcased the dedication, teamwork, and pride inherent in the program.

The Sylacauga community is so proud of this team for its great achievement. Help us celebrate and recognize them at the Sylacauga Christmas Parade this Thursday night!
