For the indefinite future, Summit Piano Service will be donating 15% of all profits to aid in relief efforts in Ukraine, as well as donating $500 immediately today. I wish we could do more, but for now we will be giving directly to UNICEF's Ukraine relief fund to support their efforts to aid children suffering from Russia's invasion of Ukraine. We are reopening for home-service appointments as of today! Our new safety policies are detailed in the picture below.

Please know our clients well being is the most important thing to us. We will get your piano back in tiptop shape, and be safe while doing so! Calls and emails will be sent out this week to those waiting on our callback list.

In light of the rapidly changing Covid-19 situation in Oregon and across the country, we will still be taking home service appointments for now, but that may very likely change soon. If anyone is experiencing any flu-like symptoms or may have been exposed, please reach out before your appointment for a charge-free cancelation or rescheduling. Likewise if we have any reason to believe we may have been exposed or are sick we will cancel or reschedule all appointments to better protect our vulnerable population.

We hope this blows over without getting much worse, but it’s very possible it won’t. Formal government quarantines and restrictions may come soon, but in the meantime everyone should do what you feel is safest for you and your family. Everything else should take lesser priority, including having your piano serviced.

I’m very excited to be working with the Oregon Bach Festival this season! Tuned 5 harpsichords this morning, using Werckmiester 3. Moving on to Valotti tunings in a week or so as the repertoire changes. It’s a nice change of pace!
