David is a BMI affiliated music producer, musician and songwriter and co-writes with lyricist Ray "Goliath" McCrory. David and Goliath Music is affiliated with Secret Sound Studio where we work with Grammy nominated musician and producer John Grant. Our Partner Eric Dalton owns Eric Dalton Productions

I have been meaning to post this since Labor Day ...
In this photo I'm in my garage standing in front of a "Death Stick" hammer flyer holding my Death Stick. It was the first hammer with a powerful magnet that help nail firmly so you could drive the nail with one hand.
In the closeup of the flyer you can see it is signed by actor Mickey Jones. With far too many stage and TV credits to mention, he was best known for his roles as Tim Allen's sidekick Pete Bilker in "Tool Time" and Rodney "Hot Rod" Dunham on FX's "Justified".

When I was a sales manager in the construction fastener business, Hitachi Power Tools hired Jones one summer as a pitch man for national trade shows. Their promotion was: when you bought a Hitachi framing nail gun you would get a $100 Death Stick hammer free. In 3 months my company went through 235 free hammers just by ourselves. I got to have a little fun working with Jones and had him sign a flyer at the last show we did.

Later on I learned that in addition to his acting career and sponsorship of many charity causes, when he was young Mickey Jones was an accomplished musician. He played drums with legendary performers Johnny Rivers, Trini Lopez and Kenny Rodgers. He also played with Bob Dylan for his controversial 1966 tour after Dylan switched from folk to electric. Jones passed away in 2018 at the age of 76. Nowadays I'm lookin' a bit like him ... RIP Mickey
