At a town hall hosted by the League of Women Voters of Fremont County (LWVFC) at the Riverton Library on Thursday, LWVFC Chairperson Linda Barton touted the value of keeping the public informed on state and local rules pertaining to voting.

According to County Clerk Julie Freese, 19,269 Fremont County residents were eligible to vote in the 2024 general election. And 17,396 turned up to the polls – a 90% turnout.

UPDATE as of 11:28 a.m.:
The FBI confirmed it is executing search warrants this morning.

Wyoming National Guard Strategic Communications Director Joseph "Cos" Coslett said National Guard units are not working with ICE in Fremont County. "We don't even have anybody on orders for like the ICE stuff yet, so I can tell you they're not there for that purpose." Some guard members are active in the state working on firefighting, he added.

The Northern Arapaho Tribe posted this morning that state and federal agencies are executing arrest warrants on the reservation this morning.
