To celebrate three decades in the cigar business, Litto Gomez and Ines Lorenzo-Gomez released the La Flor Dominicana 30 Years Chisel last year. The gently pressed smokes measure 6 1/2 inches long by 58 ring gauge, and come in La Flor’s distinctive, wedge-shape figurado. The blend, with an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper and filler from La Flor’s to***co farm in La Canela, features a unique twist, with aged binder leaf from Cotui, Dominican Republic:

Cigar Profiles: David Berkebile of Georgetown To***co

David Berkebile, 85, has owned and operated Georgetown To***co for more than 60 years. The store, located only about two miles from the White House, is a landmark for cigar smokers in the nation’s capital, one that sells a host of cigar brands both big and small.

Berkebile recently had a conversation with Cigar Aficionado executive editor David Savona about how the cigar business has changed over six decades.

The wallet-friendly line of ultra-thick Alec Bradey Chunk ci**rs now comes in a shade-grown wrapper.

The new Chunk Shade started shipping to retailers earlier this month. The line comes in three hefty sizes: XL, measuring 4 inches by 60 ring gauge; 3XL, at 4 by 66; and the ultra-thick 4XL, measuring 4 by 80.
