Meet Dear Darkness🙌🏼

This song was finalized at with producer and mixing engineer
The late Don Srygley started mixing this after I recorded it at - and he mentioned that he particularly loved this one. His passing was heartbreaking, and I believe he would be thrilled to hear what Grant did and how it all came together.

I wrote this song in a very (yep, you guessed it) dark place in my life. Although, I didn’t quite realize how dark. I had a small amount of hope and determination coming out of what I thought was the worst of it, but ironically, I was just walking into what would be the worst of it. I am not there anymore, and therefore, beyond grateful to release this song now. I am so excited to share it with you and have you finally hear this!

I was honored to have some of the best help and accompaniment with bringing this song to life.

This photo popped up in my memories this morning.

In 2011, HearTell Studios was located on the corner above Connie's Floors and More downtown Decatur.

Notice the street name.

There was a wonderful community of my recording studio and music and vocal teachers.

1 still miss recording drums and acoustic guitar in the stairwell.
