NOT ALL LOCAL CONTENT IS CREATED EQUAL!

As I work with local media leaders and the communities they serve, I am always amazed at what they consider local. They still believe if they provide the local obits, sports, council meeting, a few human interest pieces, and local columns that their work is complete.

Nothing can be further from the truth, in fact nothing could be more wrong. Those pieces just mentioned are the lowest entry to local media, those aren't the content that wins over your community to your cause.

"Building Main Street, not Wall Street" provides hope, inspiration and a path for local media companies and their communities to build a long lasting foundation and mutually rewarding synergies assisting both.

Local communities have many of the same challenges as newspapers.
