Standing out in a crowd isn’t about being louder—it’s about being truer. When everyone is chasing the same trends, originality becomes a quiet kind of courage. It shows up in how you think, how you treat people, and the choices you make when no one’s watching. You don’t need to fit a mold to matter. The world doesn’t remember copies; it remembers those who showed up as themselves and made that enough.

At Rotary, community service isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. From supporting local initiatives to tackling global challenges, Rotarians are committed to making a lasting difference through action, compassion, and collaboration.
Whether it’s improving education, promoting health, supporting the local economy, preventing conflicts, protecting the environment, or uplifting those in need, Rotary brings people together to create positive change—one project, one community, one life at a time.
Together, we don’t just see the need—we answer it.

The Rotary Four-Way Test

Rotary’s Four-Way Test is a simple yet powerful guide for living with integrity and building trust in all we do. Before we speak or act, Rotarians ask ourselves:

1️⃣ Is it the TRUTH?
2️⃣ Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3️⃣ Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4️⃣ Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

These four questions serve as a timeless compass for ethical decision-making — in business, community service, and everyday life. 🌍💛

Mentorship plays a vital role in Rotary by strengthening leadership, fostering personal growth, and ensuring continuity of Rotary values and service. Through mentorship, experienced Rotarians share their knowledge, skills, and professional insights with newer members, helping them understand Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” and translate it into meaningful action.

Vocational Service is at the heart of Rotary’s mission. It reminds us that our professions are not just a means of earning a living, but powerful tools for making a difference. By promoting high ethical standards, recognizing the dignity of all occupations, and encouraging service through our work, Rotary helps professionals use their skills to strengthen communities. When we lead with integrity and share our expertise to uplift others, we turn everyday work into meaningful service—and that is Rotary in action.

January is Rotary’s Vocational Service Month, a time to recognize how our professions can be powerful tools for service. Vocational Service is one of Rotary’s Five Avenues of Service and emphasizes high ethical standards, integrity, and respect for all occupations.

This month, Rotarians are encouraged to reflect on how their professional skills can meet community needs—through mentorship, career guidance, and service projects that put expertise into action. The Four-Way Test continues to guide us in using our vocations to promote trust and goodwill.

By aligning our work with service, we live Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self—not just in our clubs, but in our everyday lives.

SF West. Where the City meets the Ocean

Founded in 1984, we are a small but diverse group of like-minded and service-focused community leaders from various backgrounds. Our motto is “Serving Families and Children to Inspire Peace”. Our domain is the scenic Western part of San Francisco. We meet every Tuesday mornings from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at the beautiful, world-famous Harding Park Golf Clubhouse. We have received numerous club accolades including the coveted: ”best small club” title in the world. We have recently been involved with a water decontamination project in Bangladesh with Chemists Without Borders and the local Rotary Club in Chittagong, Bangladesh concentrating on the removal of Arsenic from the drinking water and project including water, sanitation, and hygiene. Please send us a message if you have any questions or if you feel you are interested in becoming a prospective member.
