So can I share with y’all my Win of the week and how God is good?

Ok Boom!

Over the past several months, I’ve been battling with my voice—hoarse, raspy, and sometimes painfully sore. At one point I could barely speak and even stopped talking to try to preserve my voice.

As an on-air personality, teacher, speaker, and podcaster, my voice is my tool, and I found myself worried (felt depression kicking in) about what could be going on, especially with new opportunities on the horizon.

I prayed it was nothing serious, but deep down, I knew something wasn’t right. So, I finally made an appointment with an Otolaryngologist (yes, I had to look up how to pronounce that 😅). Today, I went in full of nerves, I really had to talk to God to calm me in that office before my Doctor came in. My Dr. scoped me and showed me my vocal cords. My cords got a little issue but it’s nothing God can’t fix with my discipline.

I’m so relieved to share that there’s no tumor or growth on my vocal cords 🙏🏽. Just some swelling and a solid list of things I need to follow through with and remove from my lifestyle.

I still have a few tests and follow-ups ahead, but I’m grateful for answers and for my healing process. This voice has a lot more to say, and I’m trusting God on this healing journey. 💪🏽🎙️

I will be less talkative than normal and will be humming a lot so here is the heads up lol

Thank you to everyone who mentioned my voice didn’t sound the same, shared their concerns and sent up a prayer. Prayers are always welcomed and appreciated. I’m just happy for the results of today!
