It was a historic weekend for Carmel Athletics! The Girls Track & Field team captured the school's 200th state championship—a milestone moment. What made this win extra special? True Greyhound Team Greatness. No individual placed first in any single event, but together, the team brought home the title. 🏆💙

Congratulations to these incredible athletes—the first Girls Track & Field state title since 1999!

Improvements Coming to Carmel Library's West Branch

The Carmel Clay Public Library will begin improvements to its Joyce Winner West Branch building in August. Improvements will include repairs to the front facade, windows, and heating and cooling systems. A holds pickup locker will also be installed outside the branch to allow for 24-hour pickup of books and other items.

The closure of the library branch will begin in August with reopening expected around Thanksgiving. Library patrons will be able to utilize services at the Main Library during that time.

Funding for the improvements will come from the library’s existing reserves.

"The Joyce Winner West Branch has become a real favorite in the community and a great addition to the Carmel Clay Public Library," says Library Director Bob Swanay. "This project shows how committed the library is to giving everyone top-notch service, no matter which location they visit."

In 2024, over 52,000 people visited the West Branch, and over 84,000 items were checked out there.

The Joyce Winner West Branch opened to the public in January 2020. The building was originally constructed in 2004 and served as two different independent grocery stores before being purchased by the library for its first branch location.

Updates about the project will be available at carmelclaylibrary.org/west.

The Carmel Clay Public Library provides a wide range of resources and programs designed to educate, entertain, and enrich the community. With a commitment to fostering lifelong learning, the library offers services and events for all ages.

✨ Meet Me Monday ✨
Today we’re celebrating Dr. Beresford, the newly retired Superintendent of Carmel Clay Schools!

Over the past 7 years, Dr. B has been a driving force behind the incredible support CCS has shown for the Carmel Youth Assistance Program. His unwavering belief in collaboration and community has helped us reach more youth and make a bigger impact in Carmel.

Support like that starts at the top—and Dr. Beresford has led with heart, dedication, and a deep commitment to students both inside and outside the classroom. 💙

Thank you, Dr. B, for all you've done for Carmel kids and for being such a valued partner to CYAP. Enjoy your well-earned retirement!
