About Deenie’s Hideaway:

Deenie’s Hideaway was a notorious private swingers club located at 5011 W. Hillsboro Boulevard in Coconut Creek, Florida. Operating for several decades, it was styled after New York’s famed Plato’s Retreat and catered to a clientele that reportedly included celebrities, adult film stars, judges, and local politicians. The club was known for its upstairs o**y rooms, cubby holes, and an infamous pool.  

As a members-only establishment, Deenie’s operated under the guise of a private club, which allowed it to function within legal boundaries for many years. 

The club eventually closed, though the exact date is unclear. By late 2023, the property was in a state of disrepair, and new owners had applied for a demolition permit. As of early 2025, the building remained vacant and awaiting demolition. 

Deenie’s Hideaway remains a part of local lore, remembered for its controversial presence and the intrigue it generated in South Florida’s social scene.
