This won’t settle any debates between the “greens” and the Ag purists but if it keeps tax dollars from propping up solar it will certainly change some rural business decisions.

Yesterday in Tennessee, Secretary Rollins, alongside Gov. Bill Lee, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Senator Bill Hagerty, Congressman John Rose, and Deputy Secretary Vaden announced USDA will no longer fund taxpayer dollars for solar panels on productive farmland or allow solar panels manufactured by foreign adversaries to be used in USDA projects ➡️ https://www.usda.gov/about-usda/news/press-releases/2025/08/19/secretary-rollins-blocks-taxpayer-dollars-solar-panels-prime-farmland
