21 years ago today I walked into the woods bound by sin and addiction. In full withdrawals I fell to my knees on top of the waterfalls and cried out to God for deliverance or death. I surrendered myself to Him. Not my sin, not the consequences of my sin but myself.
He heard and He answered with grace, mercy and great power. I walked out of the woods an hour later a Spirit filled preacher of the Gospel.
Let me be clear. I did not begin a recovery journey that day nor did I continue to struggle with addiction. I walked out of those woods FREE by the power of God.
I am living proof of John 8:36. If you are recovering or if you are struggling you are not free. BUT, you can be. Surrender yourself to Jesus Christ by faith in what He did on the cross and you will be saved, delivered and completely freed. Jesus is the only answer to the bo***ge of sin.
I praise God for 21 years of freedom and many more to come.
