Adding this to my AES collection.. Andro Dunos is a side-scrolling shoot ‘em up (shmup) arcade game developed by Visco Corporation and originally published by SNK in 1992 for the Neo Geo MVS and AES platforms. It’s known for its weapon system, allowing players to switch between four different weapon types and upgrade them with power-ups. The game also features a two-player cooperative mode. A sequel, Andro Dunos 2, was released 30 years later, retaining the classic arcade feel while incorporating modern enhancements.
Key Features of Andro Dunos:
Weapon System: Players can choose from four different weapon types and upgrade them by collecting power-ups.
Two-Player Cooperative Mode: The game can be played with a friend, adding to the fun and challenge.
Linear Weapon Progression: Weapons are selected in a linear order, and can be upgraded individually.
Powerful Secondary Functions: Each weapon has a powerful secondary function that can be used with a cooldown period.
Retro Aesthetic: The game features a classic arcade look and feel, with pixel graphics and a retro synth-inspired soundtrack.
