enchantment magazine Enchantment is the second largest publication in New Mexico. We believe New Mexico is a great place to live.

Over one quarter of the state's residents receive our monthly publication, which they get as a benefit of their membership in one of New Mexico's rural electric cooperatives. We want to share our enthusiasm with the members of New Mexico's rural electric cooperatives.

Happy Veterans Day.

Today, and every day, we honor the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces. Your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms represent the very best of our nation.

At the New Mexico Rural Electric Cooperative Association (publisher of enchantment), we are deeply grateful for our Veterans — including those who serve within our co-ops and the communities we support across New Mexico. Your service continues to inspire us and reminds us of the values of duty, resilience, and dedication to others.

Thank you for your service and for the example you set for us all.

With respect and gratitude,
NMRECA

🌟 Celebrating New Mexico’s Youth Leadership Council Delegate!

We’re proud to share that Iliana Perez, who represented Socorro Electric Cooperative as New Mexico’s 2025 Youth Tour delegate and now serves as a Youth Leadership Council (YLC) delegate, is featured in NRECA’s national story highlighting YLC community service projects during National Co-op Month.

These inspiring projects show how young leaders like Iliana are living out the cooperative spirit — giving back, leading with heart, and strengthening their local communities.

👏 Join us in congratulating Iliana for representing both Socorro Electric Cooperative and New Mexico with pride and leadership!

Our Story

The enchantment highlights people and places served by New Mexico’s cooperatives and focuses on the issues facing rural Americans. Nearly 88,000 cooperative members, community leaders and subscribers receive the enchantment. No other magazine in New Mexico speaks to the unique, rural market like enchantment.

Since 1960, our readers, primarily member-owners whose electric cooperatives are members of The New Mexico Rural Electric Cooperative Association receive the enchantment. These member-owners have grown up with enchantment Magazine. Because of this long-standing relationship, they trust the information in enchantment and look forward to the quality content featured every month.
