Gracias to the incomparable President, Sharon Contillo for for pulling off a fabulous 45th Anniversary Annual Meeting & Conference., and for kindly inviting us () to sing an original to kick off the evening program 🙏🏼💕It was an honor!

👏🏼Bravo to WIFVNE founders honored on the stage including our dear friend/hermana creator of so many great diverse media experiences over the years.

Brian and I were inspired by Keynote Speaker Rebecca Eaton’s powerful and vulnerable speech about her 37 (did I get that right?) year journey as GBH producer of Downton Abbey and many other beloved PBS shows. She was so real, honest and down to earth. No veneer. Loved that!!

Came back home with a full heart and appreciation for being part of this incredible community of actors, editors, scriptwriters, directors, producers, composers, camerographets, photographers, make-up artists, PA’s… you name it. It takes a village and lifting one another is exactly what WIFVNE excels at. 💗

Our rehearsals have been out of this world. We cannot wait to share the talents of our amazing Quintet ( Girakt on cello/vocals; Paul Lieberman on winds and Keala Kaumeheiwa on bass, plus our very special guest Brian Urra on violin! Brian and I dreamed up this show with talented photographer Susan Wilson in 2008. Now we will include five of her beautiful photos of Michoacán, and the celebration of the night of the dead, and this abbreviated version of that larger show that toured the country.
