On This Day in History: A Tragic Chapter Unfolded

On May 13, 1985, Philadelphia witnessed an unimaginable tragedy. The city dropped a bomb on a residential neighborhood, targeting the home of the Black liberation group MOVE. This devastating act resulted in 11 lives lost, including 5 children, and the destruction of 61 homes.

This event stands as a painful reminder of the consequences of systemic racism and the impact of unchecked authority.
