ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — Adams County sheriff’s deputy Heath Gumm was shot and killed on Wednesday night, January 24, 2018, while responding to an assault in progress call when a man pulled out a handgun and started shooting.
Gumm was hit in the chest, according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
He was 31 years old and is survived by his wife and family. He had served with the sheriff’s office since 2012.
The Colorado Police Officers Fund has reportedly set up a fund where people can donate stating all of the funds will go directly to Gumm’s family.

We at Artep Print Media, have joined in this process with the Family of Deputy Heath Gumm and Lakewood Police Employee Assistance Foundation in the manufacturing of products being sold at http://www.deputyheathgumm.com and http://www.lpeaf.org to raise funds to those that have served our community as police officers.

Heath was an extremely witty and intelligent person, with a gift for making friends easily. He was a loving husband, and was close to his family. At 10 years of age, Heath achieved the rank of black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Heath always loved outdoor adventures, as well as family trips to Disneyland. Hi...
