Michael Morrison's World-Famous Jokes is a comedic gem, an extraordinary collection of hilarious jokes and delightfully colorful anecdotes from all over the planet. The humor is quite clever, genuinely funny, and often sweet, but never mean, crude, lewd, or profane. The book is superbly organized since the enormous range of subject matter is alphabetized by topic. This collection is so upbeat and most of the entries are so short that it's an ideal book to turn to whenever your mood needs a quick lift. World-Famous Jokes would make an outstanding gift for all but the most terminally humorless. To convey just how witty this book is, here's but one brilliant example from the collection of jokes about the French:
"On a diplomatic mission to La Belle, France, U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was being heckled by a French anti-war protester when he suddenly turned and asked the Frenchman:
'Excuse me, do you speak German?'
The Frenchman replied, 'Non.'
Rumsfeld looked him in the eyes and said, 'You're welcome.'"
Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Morrison.
