Today we wanted to spotlight Suzan Johnson Cook, or Dr. Sujay! One of the most powerful and inspirational voices on the East End, Dr. Sujay uses her two series' (Black Women Leaders and Headliners of Hope) to to uplift community members who she thinks deserve to be known.

Did you know Dr. Sujay was an ambassador-at-large for religious freedom internationally during President Obama's administration? Earlier in 2025, she received a live-event producer award for "Celebrating Black Culture" at LTV from the Alliance for Community Media.

To engage in the modern discourse around Artificial Intelligence and the future of technology, we may find it pertinent to look to the past. R.U.R. is a 1920 science fiction play by the Czech writer Karel Čapek. "R.U.R." stands for Rossumovi Univerzální Roboti (Rossum's Universal Robots)– a phrase that has been used as a subtitle in English versions. This play introduced the term 'robot' to the english language and to science fiction as a whole. Whether you love or hate talking to ChatGPT, R.U.R. is sure to open your eyes to a whole new side of the Artificial Intelligence landscape. 🤖

The night begins with a special artist talk by filmmaker Adam Baranello, who will share insights into his creative process, his inspiration, and the making of his latest film. ✨

Following the talk, we’ll screen "Night," a haunting, avant-garde vampire tale directed by Baranello. And then DJ ZVCH will take over with music for guests to dance 'til they drop! 🔥 Food and drinks available for purchase via Queen Bee Bakes.

The sublime is confused with the ridiculous in RHINOCEROS's savage commentary on the human condition, a staple of every theatre classroom and 20th century drama. Join us on October 18th at 7:30 p.m. for this special reading as part of our Playwrights' Theatre of East Hampton series! 🎭🦏

A small town is besieged by one roaring citizen who becomes a rhinoceros and proceeds to trample on the social order. As more citizens are transformed into rhinoceroses, the trampling becomes overwhelming, and more and more citizens become rhinoceroses. One sane man, Berenger, remains, unable to change his form and identity.
