25 Years Later… Back to Rugby Production! 🏉

📺 The last time I worked on a rugby production, I was in my early 20s, running analog tapes (yes, tapes!!!!) and EVS at the URBA tournament in Argentina.

🖥️ Fast forward to 2025, and life has come full circle. This year, HBS 
gave Intavision Media and me an incredible opportunity: to collaborate
on the production of the
Pacific Nations Cup 🏆 one of the
top international rugby tournaments.

▶️ Led by Manuel del Valle as
HBS Production Manager and supported
by our operations and technical leaders Jose Luis Espinosa &
Francisco Javier Donado, we spent 20 days on the road, producing 
7x matches across 3x cities with a crew of 120+ talented professionals, delivering a world-class broadcast for World Rugby.

🎥 For the final games in Salt Lake City, UT, we deployed a robust setup
to capture every moment:

🔸 9x Broadcast Cameras (including 2 SSMO)

🔸1x Wireless SSMO Cinema Camera on gimbal

🔸1x Wireless Steadicam Broadcast Camera

🔸3x PTZ Cameras

🔸16x EVS Replay Channels

🔸Multiple feeds for TMO, stadium entertainment, and team coaches

🙂 On a personal level, I had the privilege of leading replay coordination
and production, working closely with director Rhys Edwards to deliver
a broadcast worthy of the global rugby community.

👉 This was not only a personal full-circle moment for me, but also a major achievement for Intavision Media.

🙏 A huge thank you to everyone involved, and a special shoutout to the incredible travel crew who were by my side, flying from city to city every few days, making this production possible.

Another challenge completed ✅, another adventure in the books… and
as always, excited and ready for what comes next. 😁

at the
Pacific Nations Cup 2025🏉

▶️ Last weekend (Sept 6th),
Intavision Media had the privilege of providing production, operational and crew support to HBS during the opening match day in US of the
Pacific Nations Cup in Sacramento, CA,
a world-class rugby tournament featuring six of the most powerful
rugby nations.

▶️ In an exciting game,
Japan 🇯🇵 defeated USA 🇺🇸
to advance to the semifinals,
while Team USA will now compete
for 5th place.

▶️ The tournament continues over
the next two weekends:
- Sept 14th – Denver, CO
- Sept 20th – Salt Lake City, UT

Our team will be on-site to deliver the live action of this incredible event.

▶️ For this international production,
we deployed:
- 9x Cameras (including 2x SSMOs)
- 1x Wireless Cinema Camera on Gimbal
- 12x EVS Replay Channels
- Different feeds for TMO, Stadium House and Team Coaches
- A dedicated crew of 40+ talented professionals working tirelessly to ensure top-tier broadcast quality.

👉 Intavision Media on the road again!
This time, we’re in Washington, DC, covering Match Day 2 of the group stage of the Concacaf Women’s Champions Cup at Audi Field. ⚽️

📺 For this HBS 9-camera production, we used a compact production truck to stream both video and audio directly to the cloud using BitFire technology.

🧐From there, the control room, located at Concacaf headquarters in Miami, receives all feeds through the cloud. Using BitFire’s cloud-based platform,
the production team remotely manages the switcher, audio mixer, and replay systems— all operated by the director and technicians via internet-connected laptops and specialized hardware.

💪This cutting-edge technology has been added to our capabilities to offer our clients cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

⚽ With the production of the Semi-Final between Inter Miami and Vancouver Whitecaps last Wednesday — a match that concluded with a 1-5 aggregate win for Vancouver — Intavision Media officially wrapped up its role as
Host Broadcaster, working alongside HBS in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.

📡 Over the past two months, we successfully delivered 8 matches across
4 US cities, made possible by an exceptional team of production, operations,
and technical professionals of both companies.

✈️ Our journey took us through Cincinnati (twice), Salt Lake City, Columbus, and four matches close to home in Fort Lauderdale, FL — a true production road trip that highlighted the dedication, professionalism, and collaboration of everyone involved.

➡️ For the Semi-Final at Chase Stadium, we deployed 18 cameras, including:
• 2x Super Slow-Motion (SSMO)
• 2x Steadicam cameras
• 1x Wireless cinema-style camera
• 1x Drone

📺 This broadcast was the result of the hard work and commitment of a crew of more than 50 professionals, each focused on delivering a world-class live event experience.

😊 On a personal note, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in these productions — from our trusted vendors and the talented traveling crew who accompanied me across all these cities, to the outstanding local teams, the Concacaf Broadcast Venue Managers, and the dedicated staff at Inter Miami,
FC Cincinnati, Real Salt Lake, and Columbus Crew. And of course, a special thank you to the incredible HBS US core team for placing their trust in Intavision Media — and in me personally.

The first quarter of 2025 has been a whirlwind of productions at Intavision Media, delivering top-tier broadcasts across multiple events and locations.

✅ FC Series 2025
As Host Broadcaster, we successfully produced this friendly soccer tournament, covering matches in Orlando, FL, and Fort Lauderdale, FL. Our team managed the entire production scope, including operations, management, on-site OB van production, GFX package design, production and technical crew, as well as Satellite & SRT distribution.

✅ Reserve Padel Miami 2025
Running simultaneously with FC Series, we provided technical facilities, OB van, and a full tech crew to Crionet for their production of this high-profile padel tournament, ensuring seamless ex*****on over four intense days.

✅ Live Streaming in New York
In February, we traveled to NYC for four days to provide live streaming and production services for our client Unlock and their client Globant.

✅ Concacaf Champions Cup 
We launched pre-production for the first three matches of the tournament, collaborating with HBS in Salt Lake City, Cincinnati, and Miami.
This required the seamless coordination of OB vans, management, operations, technical teams, and production crews, working closely with the HBS core team.
March continued with another three Champions Cup games in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Miami, featuring 12 cameras, 2 Super SSMO cameras,
1 Steadicam, and a crew of more than 35 professionals per match to deliver a world-class broadcast.

🎥 Ongoing Weekly Productions
Amidst all these high-profile events, we continue producing the weekly CNN show “Oppenheimer Presenta,” managing pre-production, coordination, editing, and final delivery. We’re proud to have been producing this show at Intavision for the past 22 years.

📡 Expanding Our Capabilities
We are in the final stages of setting up our new studio/control room in North Miami Beach, which will offer SRT connectivity for live broadcasts, streaming, podcasts, off-tube play-by-play, seamless integration, and more.

🌪️ Last week was a whirlwind at Intavision Media, covering the U.S. Presidential Election for EITowers and Mediaset Italy! With three production teams working non-stop for over nine hours, we brought live coverage from Times Square, NY; Erie, PA; and Miami, FL, using our ENG cameras and LiveU technology.

✈️ Then, on Friday, I hopped from NY to MIA and onto San Juan, PR, for a Saturday night PPV boxing event on “La Isla del Encanto,” working alongside old colleagues and friends at a fantastic event.

🏆 With these two productions, I wrapped up a 78-day travel marathon (including a trip to be at my baby daughter’s 1st birthday ❤️ and 5 days in Miami, though not all together), filled with beautiful places and exciting challenges.

Some travel stats:
🌍 21,480 miles / 34,368 km traveled
🌎 4 different countries + 1 U.S. Associated State (Colombia, USA, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico)
🏙️ 10 cities visited: Bogotá, Miami, Dallas, Orlando, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Santo Domingo, Las Terrenas, NYC & San Juan
🛏️ 10 different beds and 7 hotels
✈️ 14 flights, 🚆 2 train rides, and 🚗 2 road trips
📡 5 different projects & clients, all live broadcasts
🤝 Met 40+ new people and reunited with 3 old friends after 15 years
🍹 1 Mamajuana enjoyed

We all know trips like these are intense: long workdays, flights, jet lag, and questionable sleep 😅, but they’re packed with unforgettable moments, new adventures, lasting friendships, and memories to cherish.

🙌 A big thank you to everyone involved in these projects.
Now, it’s time to work a bit closer to home in Miami! 🌴

After an extended stay in Colombia, I returned to Miami for a brief 1.5-day stop before heading to Dallas to produce the Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Grand Slam 2024 with Intavision Media over the course of three days. 😊

🙏 A special thanks to the incredible Intavision Media production team at the
Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, including Sofia Lavarello , Harol Medina, Francisco Javier Donado, Marcelo A. Quiroga, and the local technical crew, for delivering a successful and seamless broadcast. 📺

The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Tour – Dallas 2024 took place on September 28th and 29th, showcasing outstanding performances from a blend of seasoned veterans and surprising underdogs, making the competition thrilling to watch.

✅ Intavision Media proudly served as the Host Broadcaster for the fourth consecutive year, producing two full days of non-stop, 8-hour live coverage
with global distribution.
