Throwback this morning with a picture of my momma, sitting with her daddy (my grandpa) on the back steps of the house. Choosing pictures to print is fun - but I want to print ALL the pictures!!!!! ❤

This is goodness right here. When we were kids, Gma would send her army of grandkids out to pick raspberries with Gpa, however many of us were here at the time. . But she always sent us off with strict instructions - don't let Gpa eat everything he picks lol. I gotta say, I think Gpa had the right idea.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to pick raspberries at Gma's house again. ❤💛🖤

Going thru and organizing pics, and I just wanna go hang out in the new amazing bathroom! 🤩

Spent the day at 624 today, finishing the upstairs flloors (ALL the floors are officially done! On to rugs!) and finishing up the gorgeous HUGE built in cabinet in the kitchen. Thought it was a great time to post a before pic the week we closed on the house, compared to today.

What an incredible journey! When you tear something apart, to then put it back together, is such a crazy journey! We have been incredibly blessed to have some amazing and talented people help us with our project, and some who never showed up, or abandoned us at some point in the process, only reminds us that everything happens for a reason.

And a HUGE Thank you to my husband who made this project possible even though the entire prospect scared him to death! We made it babe!!! And it's so pretty it makes me get all teary eyed!!!

Now on to the punch list, and the normal jobs that come with owning a 117 year old piece of (family) history.
❤❤❤

Ok, here we go. I am definitely getting old, because sanding and staining these floors kicked my butt, and hubby ended up with blisters! Because the upstairs floors are 117 year old yellow pine, they're a bit soft and needed to be sanded by hand. And the back hallway was covered in at least 3 layers of dark blue paint! So much work, and so very worth it!

But we made it. We got this. And the upstairs is ready for a coat of sealer. Hallelujah!!

I don't think I have a picture of the upstairs hallway before we started with the electrical, but the left photo shows before we got started on the major reno. The right photo is where the hallway was when I finished staining tonight. Another step closer!!

Feeling my age today, ugh! Maybe my age plus a couple decades lol. No more linoleum or dark blue enamel paint. 😁

This is our view on this rainy Fall Sunday. Taking a day to enjoy the progress so far, hanging curtains, and enjoying the fireplace. Can't wait til we get the upstairs finished up!

Can't wait to get the plumbing done in the kitchen and cook a meal here. ❤

The HOUSE at 624

Purchased in 1940 by George & Elsie Crofton for their growing, busy family. The HOUSE at 624 has been in our family ever since. George & Elsie had 5 children, 4 married, and had children of their own, producing 27 GrandChildren that spent summers and holidays playing together like siblings in the home that Grandma & Grandpa filled with love, food, and memories.

Built in 1903, this gorgeous house sits on more than an acre, and is built with great craftsmanship in every detail. My husband & I purchased The HOUSE at 624 in July 2018, and have begun the process of renovating and reawakening this beautiful girl, hoping to once again fill it with Love, Family, Food & Laughter, creating Memories.

Throughout the process, we’ll share photos, DIY’s, and videos as we work our way thru this process, and invite you to follow along! I can’t wait until we can offer The HOUSE at 624 for your next vacation, family holiday, or just a relaxing weekend for 2.

We hope to share the feeling of home, of family, playing games, reading books, and a house full of history.
