Day 1 of the 10th Annual H.O.P.S. Basketball Summer Camp at Carver High School was a HUGE success! Over 40 young athletes ages 6–14 hit the hardwood ready to learn, grow, and grind. Led by former Auburn’s University star Mike Jones, and the elite coaching staff featuring Legendary Coach Richard Mahone. The campers were put through skill stations, high-energy drills, and team-building exercises that brought out their very best. The momentum keeps going as Day 2 is tomorrow 9 AM – 1 PM!!

After years of absence, Columbus Parks and Rec has officially brought Midnight Basketball back to the city with the launch of the new league, Night Ballers. The inaugural season wrapped up Thursday night in exciting fashion, featuring a thrilling 3-point contest won by sharpshooter Jontavis Miles, followed by the highly anticipated championship matchup: You Already Lost vs. Money Calling. In a hard-fought battle, You Already Lost came out on top, led by none other than league and championship MVP, Zae Horton.

Big shoutout to league organizer Curtis Simpson for putting together an outstanding season and helping revive a city favorite with style and energy.

Today we spotlight, of the Columbus Carver High School in Georgia.

The rising high school senior , a sprinter, competes to CHASE after her personal bests — a mission that only makes her better.

To reach her goals, English WORKS hard every day and focuses on the little things.

SyBria recently ran a 100 meter personal best of 12.70 seconds. With the summer months ahead of her, she continues to PURSUE her dreams and drives forward each day with purpose.
