BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!:
Project Won Studios is currently seeking an experienced audio engineer to work with the studio as an independent contractor, (at least to start), and willing to work at the studio, at home, and on-location for mobile jobs throughout the Pacific Northwest as required.
A qualified applicant will meet these requirements:
• Must be proficient with operating PC desktop and laptop computers. (Working with the same on Mac computers a definite plus!)
• Must be proficient with editing and mixing in SONAR, (first and foremost and proficient experience with the following DAWS a most definite plus: Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, Studio One.)
• Must be proficient with at least the basic operation of analog recording/mixing consoles. (Experience with a Mackie 24-8 Console a definite plus!)
• Must be willing to work at least part-time on company premises using company provided computers, gear and software under the direct supervision of the project producer and the primary client representative.
• Must be willing to occasionally take project files home to be worked on outside of normal business hours when a goal or deadline may require it.
• Must have an adequate workstation at home capable of continuing editing work begun at the studio. This means having the same and compatible versions of the DAW software used in the studio and/or with the client's project, (SONAR at least 95% of the time - at least at the start).
• Must be willing to work as an independent contractor, understanding that this will mean individual responsibility for tax withholding. The studio will require the completion of a W-9 and will issue the contractor a 1099 each year for the previous year income reporting, (as required). Regular hourly or salaried W-2 employment in the future is a possibility, but there can be no guarantees of when or even if.
• Must be dependable and easy to work with, taking and following through with directions provided by the producers and client representatives. Experience will be very valuable, but even more so the ability to use that experience to fulfill the vision of the producers and clients without undue questions and experimental delays unless asked.
• Must be able to work in a clean, family friendly Christian environment with predominately Christian staff and predominately Christian clientele. No use of foul or suggestive language, no alcohol, no drug use of any kind, (whether legal or not), no inappropriate clothing and no visual or verbalized disrespect for the staff or clients or their Judeo/Christian values is tolerated.
Important: Please note this is NOT a request for interns or for those who are not already experienced and VERY knowledgeable in Pro Audio Engineering. We can, and DO accept internships from time, to time, but this is NOT one of those occasions! If you are not already very skilled and experienced in this field, please do not apply! Thank you!
