THE WAIT IS OVER Ranbir Kapoor’s first look from Love & War is finally here! 🔥🎬
The much‑awaited first look of from , Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand upcoming period romantic war drama, has officially been unveiled and it’s already commanding massive attention across the internet.

Ranbir appears in a retro‑gritty avatar, seated behind the wheel of a vintage convertible, dressed in a crisp white polo and sunglasses, exuding calm intensity even as his arm is bruised, bloodied, and marked by a bullet wound. The contrast between his composed demeanor and the violent hints in the frame has become the biggest talking point.

The poster carries Bhansali’s signature dramatic flair bold colors, vintage detailing, and a cinematic tension that teases both romance and conflict at the heart of the film. Fans and co‑stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal have shared the look with glowing reactions, calling it one of Ranbir’s most striking transformations yet.

This year at IIFFB26, we introduced something new our Breakfast Networking Meeting. It turned out to be a very fruitful morning, with around 23 filmmakers joining us, connecting with each other, sharing ideas, and giving us very positive feedback.

So yes… we’ve decided this meeting is here to stay! We plan to make it a part of every year. But as we enter an important milestone ’s 10th year celebration we are also looking ahead and thinking about what more we can do for independent filmmakers.

I personally feel a little sad when I think about how easily we spend thousands of dollars on celebrities and entertainment, yet sometimes we struggle to give even a small amount back to the independent filmmakers whose passion, creativity, and hard work deserve our support.

We celebrate their films, applaud their stories, give them awards but what happens after the festival? I feel they deserve more than just applause. They deserve opportunities.

Since last few days I have been constantly talking with many Indian film festival directors and finally we all came on the same page.

That’s when we thought: Why stop at one festival? Why not create a year-round global connection? So, we are working on something new and, we hope, truly useful for independent cinema:

GIFA will be a platform connecting independent filmmakers, film festivals, festival directors, producers, distributors, actors, and other cinema professionals from around the world helping them discover each other, build relationships, and find opportunities beyond geographical borders.

To launch , we need some initial funding to build the platform and make it useful and sustainable for the independent film community. And this time, we are asking our community to be part of building it with us.

You don't need to make a big contribution. A small amount from many people can help us take this idea from a dream to reality.

When Art Becomes a Voice for Our Community

-Kendrik has been bringing South Asian stories to the center stage of Boston and New England through art, theatre, and storytelling.

Rooted in Bengali theatrical productions, Off-Kendrik has grown into a beautiful platform that embraces the many languages, cultures, and artistic traditions that make up the South Asian-American community. Every year, they present the South Asian-American Theater Festival ( Fest) and, every other year, their storytelling series Voices, along with other theatrical productions and collaborations.

Recently, a Kashmiri-born community leader in Boston, shared his grief and concerns following the presentation of the Kashmiri play “Yeh Chi Ayekh,” in which he was involved as a playwright and actor.

At BDCTV, we listened to Sanjay Ji and felt the pain behind his words. We echo his sentiment and believe that our community must listen not just to celebrate our diversity, but also to understand the stories, memories, and emotions that come with it.

SAD NEWS: Veteran filmmaker Kuku Kohli passes away at 77 🙏🏻💐

Veteran filmmaker Kuku Kohli, best known for directing Phool Aur Kaante and launching Ajay Devgn into stardom, has passed away at the age of 77 after suffering a massive heart attack in Mumbai.

He breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he had been admitted after feeling unwell. His close friend, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, confirmed the news and expressed deep grief over the loss.

Kuku Kohli, husband of veteran actress Aruna Irani, leaves behind a legacy of iconic Hindi films including Phool Aur Kaante, Suhaag, Haqeeqat, Zulmi, Anari No. 1, and Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa. His contribution to Bollywood spanning decades of action dramas, emotional entertainers, and star‑making moments will always be remembered.

His last rites will be held on Wednesday, with the film fraternity mourning the loss of a respected filmmaker, mentor, and beloved colleague.
