I made a presentation before a provincial committee on the importance of small publications to the importance of community representation and democracy.
The basic tenet of my presentation, citing the Southern Chiefs Organization, is that hundreds of millions are going to these organizations with no accountability or transparency to the people they claim to represent.
And that's the importance of my journalism because no one else is doing it.
