Each year, we feed approximately 300+ individuals/families during community meals and we couldn't do it without your help! We are so thankful for each and every one of you who have come together to make this meal possible.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Information Update
11/14/2024

First, we would like to thank everyone for their assistance regarding the subject that fled from officers on 11/12/2024. That investigation is ongoing; however, we no longer believe this individual is in Carbondale and we do not believe there is any ongoing threat regarding this matter.

We would like to take this opportunity to offer some general safety reminders that we should all follow. While we live in a safe, close-knit community we should always be aware of potential safety concerns for our families, neighbors, and ourselves.

Working together we can keep Carbondale safe and ensure that would be criminals who come here are left with fruitless efforts and the full consequence of the law.

If you See Something, Say Something.

The SFTHS Fall Musical “ALL SHOOK UP” opens next weekend! The music of Elvis Presley comes to life in this hilarious, heartwarming story. Set in a square little Midwest town in 1955, a guitar-playing young man rides into town and changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumping out of your blue suede shoes with classics like “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and more!

Join us in the SFTHS auditorium next weekend! We can’t wait to see you there!

Yup, we made a mistake today and printed "Pence" instead of "Vance" due to last minute formatting changes. The PDF edition on our website will be correct when it posts later today. As always, we regret the error, doubly so on an eventful occasion. However, we congratulate all the candidates, especially the victors in our local elections and remind our readers that results for all contests remain unofficial at this point. The Osage County Board of Commissioners will conduct canvassing 4 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Osage County Courthouse, 717 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451. The public is encouraged to attend or watch the live stream on YouTube.
