Armed Robbery: On June 2, 2025 at approximately 2:35 pm, Officers of the Easton Police Department were dispatched to BayVanguard Bank, located at 501 Idlewild Avenue, Easton, MD in reference to a bank robbery.
Upon Officers arrival, they met with employees who informed them that an African-American male wearing a white long sleeve shirt, white pants, black shoes, black sling bag, lime green baseball hat and sunglasses, entered the bank. The suspect was further described as being 5’06” to 6’00” in height, having a thin build, possibly in his 30’s with a goatee. The suspect approached a teller and demanded money. The suspect then provided the bank teller with a note demanding money and brandished a firearm. The suspect was able to obtain and undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot. The suspect was last seen running on Idlewild Avenue towards Idlewild Park. No employees were injured.
Officers requested the assistance of the Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit to assist with processing the crime scene. A Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and his K-9 conducted a possible track, the suspect might have taken. A Special Agent with the FBI also responded to the bank to assist with the investigation.
Investigators are asking citizens in the community to look at their surveillance cameras to see if the suspect was caught on video.
