We'll read my holiday tribute, I like it, if you don't that's ok too, you don't ever have to read it again, hell, nothing's making ya read it now. Happy Thanksgiving.
Well you have to imaging the ragtime roll and the four part harmony, and the name of the song, because doing Alice's Restaurant Massacree Rag was not on the plate as it were.

Well, we all jumped in our cars, stuffed with bowls and cake Pansy's and bowls and went over to eat with our friends, the Thornton's to have our Thanksgiving dinner, and there were turkey's galore, a whole lot more, there were children waiting, forks in hand, some doing a little early chewing, but there were more desserts, corn, greens rolls and pies than 24 bodies could hold, if we went through them twice. So, we gathered round and clasped hands to say a prayer, and I asked God to forgive and not to allow the choking to death of the ones who already had mouths of meat or dressings, or rolls, but that if he had to, to go ahead and take anyone filching icing off the German Chocolate cake , if it was his will, and while we would certainly miss the loss of a son or daughter, or even a cousin, and while we all hoped that they could be saved from eternal damnation anyway, even if the icing is the best part and to please be merciful even if they didn't deserve it. By that tie everybody was anxious looking - eyes fixed on the plates, forks, knives, and all sorta implements of destruction, they attacked before the -men on the Amen ever got out of my mouth. Eating with the gusto that only turkey lovin southerners can understand...and not just one but two birds with two carvers, hands flying, vying for world domination.

Well elbows began to flying in the closer quarters of the kids table we were just a little worried about teeth getting knocked out, but if it happened in there that was a good thing cus baby teeth can come back, there was a loud heaving and sucking sound and the room was vibrating pure and musical as the rush began for the desert sideboard, the pumpkin pie, the cake had taken on a rapper's name to try to protect itself from the flashing Ginsu projectiles, but AKA G. Choc didn't fool anyone at all!
Well we had a Thanksgiving Dinner that couldn't be beat made our way to the couches and went to sleep and didn't wake up until after the first football game was over, headed back to the kitchen made up more plates that couldn't be beat then got ourselves a glass of wine or two and headed back to the houses.

Well when we arrive at Casa Charlo we have been on a sixties and seventies groove the whole trip home, so we feeling like leaving the food stuck in the back, what could go wrong for it to stay there for five more minutes, turned up the volume dialed in the X M , rolled the car windows down and started singing, well the singing was getting good, but we needed dancing room so we had to back halfway back out and get our dance floor roomed.

Well as we might have expected, if we hadn't been having so much fun dancing, folks began to show up. First out of curiosity then to get a helping of the deserts in the back seat, each visitor taking the time to record, a,video of us dancing to the Dead, Stones, Beatles, Earth,Wind,and Fire, but nobody else hopped right in, then we created a couch, opened the fridge and had a little something to quench our thirst, more filming. It was me dancing the part of Tito to I Want You Back, then her singing and acting out You're so Vain until it wasn't even thanksgiving any more.

So if you see a bunch of videos, and Facebook pictures of two grandparents dancing their asses off in front of amused kids, just remember our generation started this and sing along.
