Hey, the temperatures are going to be more reasonable the rest of the week, so why not spend part of this week at the Clackamas County Fair and/or Canby Rodeo. There's a ton to see and do, some new areas of interest and, as always, that fair food you know you love. Elephant ears are calling you. Fair runs through Saturday at the fairgrounds in Canby.

Weather gets hot, people go swimming in the river, and sometimes tragedy strikes. That's what happened Sunday evening when a Salem man drowned in the Molalla River near Canby.

A nice piece of local history is back and looking good. The Mark Prairie schoolhouse has been rebuilt and remodeled after being largely destroyed in 2021 during an ice storm. The new look will be on display at an open house.

All the work, hours, and money that were needed to get the historic Mark Prairie schoolhouse repaired and renovated has come to fruition.
