An Olympic champion is coming to 🥂⛸️

The Park City W**e Festival returns Oct. 1–3, and this year’s lineup comes with a special twist: U.S. Figure Skating and Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano are joining the festivities ahead of the 2027 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Utah.

Boitano will take part in meet-and-greets and a new cocktail collaboration with Alpine Distilling, including The Nightcap on Oct. 3, where guests can sample and vote on original cocktails created with the Olympic champion.

Add more than 200 wines, local restaurants, live music and plenty of food and you have one pretty compelling fall weekend in Park City.

Tickets are on sale now at parkcitywinefest.com.

Park City’s mining history is getting a new way to explore it. ⛏️

The new Park City Historic Mine Route, a seven-mile hiking and biking loop connecting 24 historic silver mining sites, officially opens during this year’s Miners Day celebration.

Join Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History for a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at the Miners Day Parade Judges Stand at 505 Main Street. Mayor Ryan Dickey will cut the 16-foot ribbon, kicking off a new way to experience Park City’s mining past—with a free GPS-enabled audio guide along the route.

A record year of giving is making a big impact across the Wasatch Back. 💙

The Promontory Foundation has awarded $500,000 in grants to 45 local nonprofits — the largest number of annual recipients in the Foundation’s 20-year history.

The giving includes a $50,000 Promontory Promise Grant to The People's Health Clinic supporting free health care for uninsured individuals and families in Summit and Wasatch counties. And with this year’s record fundraising, the Foundation is also establishing an endowment to help sustain its support for local organizations for years to come.

Since 2006, the Promontory Foundation has awarded more than $4 million in grants, generating more than $11 million in local impact with matching funds.
