The Topeka Zoo is thrilled to welcome two orphaned black bear cubs, meet Taz and and Kiona (Kee-OH-nuh).

The cubs are a male & female pair that were found orphaned in the wild, arriving from Wisconsin and Montana. After their initial examinations by USFWS, the cubs were deemed unfit for release/life in the wild- staff at the Topeka Zoo are more than happy & willing to provide a safe space for the two and have already given them names that fit their distinguished looks and personalities.
