"We first found out about Gentle Guitar through The Homeschool Sisters Podcast and have been taking guitar lessons since March 2017. Our son loved it so much that after the free trial we decided to continue the lessons. We were skeptical at first, but after the first couple of lessons on Skype we quickly realized that this was an amazing way for our son to learn how to play guitar."

After watching a couple videos of children on your page, it made me wonder about whether it is better to learn guitar first by chords or single notes.
I'm primarily a woodwind player, so I can appreciate children learning to read music yet I always felt that my linear approach to musical notation hindered my ability to process chord concepts for guitar and piano. So, I've been inclined to start with chords with my son and niece. Having them bite bullet.
My husband is a guitarist who learned by ear and he is inclined to start with chords because your music is instantly fleshed out, you can immediately "make music" that others can join in on.
What's your take on it?
It looks like your program starts with plucking individual notes, right?
Or have you posted on the matter and I just missed it?
Wonderful page! 😊
