We are seeking adults who, during their childhood, either thought of or attempted su***de; to be a part of an impactful and groundbreaking documentary titled "Consequence."

Consequence aims to provide an unprecedented, unfiltered look into the silent world of child su***de, exploring how it is influenced by multiple societal factors like media, religion, medicine, and mental health illness.

We are looking for voices from all walks of life:

* Survivors who have experienced childhood suicidal thoughts or attempts

* Loved ones who have been impacted by the su***de of a child or adolescent

* Mental health professionals, including counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, and religious leaders who have witnessed the impact of faith on mental health.

* Educators, lawyers, and other professionals who interact with children in their daily lives

We will examine the profound effects of mental health, societal norms, peer pressure, religion, and how systems like education and justice contribute to this issue.

Why this matters:

Mental health is often ignored, misunderstood, or stigmatized, especially in children.

Society’s response, or lack of response, has life-or-death consequences.

By sharing your story, you could help save lives, change perspectives, and give others the strength to speak out.

When a child lives in a home where there is abuse, it's important to give them a safe space to express what's going on. It takes time to build trust, as adults may have lied to them. Establishing a relationship with the parent and finding out what's happening can help, but expect kickback. If you can't approach the situation properly, connect with someone who can.
