Deciding at a young age that his career path was writing and publishing, Justin put his formula to work while studying at Belmont University. During this time, he was an exclusive songwriter for Buddy Killen's Tree Publishing for two years. He also met his future bride and source of inspiration, Elizabeth Peters, in a video production class on campus. In 1984 he had his first #1 song, "Believers,"
recorded by Michael James Murphy. In 1986 he and Steve Davis had a #1 pop hit in Hong Kong with the song, "Miracle." In this same year he wrote a song for the Blue Angels Navy Flying Team entitled "Angels'" which received much recognition. While still working on his Bachelor's Degree in Music Business, he formed his own publishing company, Justin Peters Music. Two years later he was co-writer and publisher of the AC Song of the Year in Christian Country Music, "Saved By Love." The Amy Grant A&M Records release received Platinum status and was featured on The Tonight Show and Entertainment Tonight. Justin earned the privilege to work with many Grammy, CMA and Dove Award winning writers such as Dennis Morgan, Eric Fearman, Jimmy Fortune, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Armond Morales, Sanchez Harley, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Dez Dickerson, Phil Naish, Rich Mullins, Greg Nelson, Billy Sprague, Bill McCorvey, and the list goes on. His songs have been recorded by Dailey & Vincent, B.J. Thomas, Charley Pride, Jimmy Fortune, Amy Grant, Joe English, Russ Taff, Gary Chapman, The Imperials, Rich Mullins, 4 Him, Wayne Watson, Cynthia Clawson, All Denson, Rick Cua, Kelly Nelon Thompson, Dallas Holm, The Speer Family, Rusty Goodman, O'Landa Draper & Associates, Truth, Bill Engvall, The McKameys, and many more. Currently Justin is President of Songs For The Planet, Inc., representing Abet International Music Group, Absotunes, Ben Peters Music, Jembon Music, Lita Music, Macon Golden Music, McCorvey Music, Platinum Planet Music, Inc., Rae Bon Music, Tourmaline Music, Inc., Truthworks Music, World House Publishing and many other quality copyright companies. The catalogs he manages today include recordings from nine different Entertainers Of The Year. Justin continues to write and publish songs all over the world from all genres of music including gospel, country, pop, reggae, blues, rock, Latin, comedy and dance. He continues to license songs for CDs, films, movies, television shows, books, hymnals, posters, sheet music, commercials and many other uses. He is developing new songwriters and artists by instilling the same values that have held strong for him throughout his career. Earlier this year Justin Peters started a new record company, Platinum Planet Records. His inspiration and reason for starting his label was to represent the music recordings of the new rising star, Lee Anna Culp. Justin Peters, as a songwriter, publisher, and entrepreneur believes in integrity, discipline, hard work and talent,. Beyond and more important than the music, he is known as the father of two young sons, Joseph and Jackson Peters.
