Reason to Rhyme Music We're advocates for the music we believe in. Reason 2 Rhyme Music is a full-service, boutique music production company advocating for Artists.

Reason to Rhyme Music was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that original music is one of the most powerful tools a storyteller has — and that it should be accessible to every kind of storyteller. We are a music publishing company, record label, A&R firm and national talent agency. We're building a home for musicians, taking care of them so they can do what they do best - create and perform the music that inspires us and transforms our world. Reason 2 Rhyme Music was seeded in 1997 when musicians Bryan Wagstaff and Reid Miller began playing together while students at U.S.C. in Los Angeles, California. They founded the band Jonas and toured all over the West Coast. Theirs was the classic life-on-the-road musician experience - schlepping gear to disorganized venues with poor lighting and sound systems where they played for little or no pay, often tired, hungry and rundown. They saw many exhausted an broke musicians take the stage, and though they rallied, these musicians gave less than their ideal performance. And the struggling artist often didn't know how to navigate the complicated world of copyrights and music ownership - many signed away their best works for inadequate pay. This was a prolific time for Jonas - they wrote hundreds of songs, and the band was committed to creating an amazing sound and protecting their assets. Wagstaff came to understand what Abraham Maslow so famously described in his Hierarchy of Needs - if you take great care of the artists, the music flourished. Fast forward twenty years and Reason 2 Rhyme Music is doing just that - providing the ultimate environment for artists to create and perform their best work.

Collusion will be playing Tulagi (formerly Boulder Roots Music Fest) this August 27–30 in downtown Boulder, Colorado — and we want you there!

This August 27–30, downtown Boulder transforms for four days — artists across 20+ venues, live music spilling into the streets, and a community that keeps getting stronger. Tulagi is a celebration of creativity, culture, and connection, bringing together everything from indie and bluegrass to hip hop, funk, and soul across the sounds that make Colorado's music scene so unique. Year one brought 170+ bands to Pearl Street. 2026 is bringing over 800 artists.

Some news worth sharing — Collusion is playing Boulder Roots Music Fest this August 🪕

Four days of music, art, and food taking over Pearl Street in downtown Boulder, August 27–30. We're sharing the bill with a wide spread of artists — national names and homegrown Colorado talent alike.

Featuring: Ward Scott, Carey Hayes, Bryan Wagstaff and Marcus Rezak.

What makes Boulder Roots different is it's a community-built celebration of creativity, culture, and the music scene that makes this corner of Colorado what it is. Last year the festival drove a 134% increase in West End foot traffic and brought the whole city out for one weekend. Year two is shaping up to be even bigger, and we're proud to be a part of it.
