Sometimes we carry burdens we were never meant to hold. In this heartfelt reflection, Tyra shares how a lifted Jeep named Dave, her husband’s words, and the promises of Jesus all reminded her—and now you—that we don’t have to carry the hard things alone. Trust Him. He will fix it. 💛

A heartfelt story about Jeeps, burdens, and the peace found in trusting Jesus to carry what’s too heavy for us.

Pryor is making headlines! Two major downtown projects have been named finalists in the 2025 Oklahoma Main Street Awards!

The Bluegrass Festival brought nearly 10,000 people downtown and united the community through music, food, and fun.

Ober & Littlefield CPA / 6.5 South Adair Luxury Apartments transformed a damaged historic building into a beautiful mixed-use anchor in the heart of Pryor.

These efforts show what’s possible with local pride, vision, and teamwork. Winners will be announced Sept. 30 in OKC—stay tuned and cheer them on!

Two Pryor downtown projects—a major festival and historic renovation—are finalists in the 2025 Oklahoma Main Street Awards.

On July 12, the 186th anniversary of the Act of Union, Cherokee Nation leaders officially recognized the historic Illinois Campground in Tahlequah—the very site where Eastern and Western Cherokees united in 1839—as the 17th site on the Cherokee Nation Historic Registry.

This sacred ground not only marked the end of the Trail of Tears but also the beginning of a unified Cherokee Nation government.

Chief Hoskin Jr. called it “a symbol of the strength and unity of the Cherokee people,” and its designation ensures that future generations will know the story of resilience, sovereignty, and hope.

On the 186th anniversary of the Act of Union, the Cherokee Nation adds the historic Illinois Campground in Tahlequah to its Registry of Historic Places.

🌼 Six years ago, my daughter got married in our backyard. We planted wildflowers for the big day—but they didn’t bloom in time. Years later, they finally did. 🌸

It reminded me of Galatians 6: “You will reap exactly what you plant.” Some prayers take time, just like those flowers. Don’t give up. God is faithful, and your harvest is coming. 💛

’tGiveUp

A backyard wedding, late-blooming wildflowers, and powerful reminders from Galatians—discover how waiting on answered prayers is never wasted when faith is the soil.

Historic news for Claremore and Indian Country: Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. has signed a landmark $255.5 million legislation to construct a new, state-of-the-art outpatient and emergency health center in Claremore.

Set to open in 2027, this new facility will replace the aging federal Claremore Indian Hospital after Cherokee Nation assumes operations from IHS later this year.

Chief Hoskin called the investment a bold step to correct decades of federal neglect, improve safety and care, and deliver the kind of modern health services Cherokee citizens deserve.

This Independence Day, Clyde and I took a quiet walk through the streets of Pryor and reflected on what this day really means. Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness—words written nearly 250 years ago, still guiding our steps today.

Take a moment to slow down, breathe in your freedom, and be thankful for those who made it possible. Clyde’s resting up for fireworks tonight… but earlier, he reminded me that sometimes the best way to honor freedom is a simple walk, a little peace, and a grateful heart.

Happy 4th of July from The PiP—and from Clyde.
